The Fienberg Fisher K-8 Rock Ensemble started in 2010. We begged, borrowed and finagled what ever equipment we could get our hands on and the eager rookie musicians were ecstatic. They practiced hard and even came in before school to get extra practice time. Their energy and enthusiasm paid off, on the initial performance they rocked the house and everyone was very impressed. Those young rock ensemble musicians created a cool buzz and a tradition of excellence that has continued through the years. Three of those musicians went on to perform with the highly acclaimed Miami Beach Senior High Rock Ensemble. The tradition of excellence continues to this day, with new young musicians following in their footsteps. I am extremely proud  of their accomplishments in music as well as their performance in the classroom and the community.
